May 2011 - Kedron Airport Link Tunnel

The ECR Group, specialising in Heavy Lift, Heavy Haul and Heavy Crane applications were the best choice for the Jacking of a concrete form structure used in the form work for the Kedron Airport Link Tunnel project in Brisbane, Queensland. Our in house engineering department, with it's up to date software packages including, Lift Planners / CAD and Solid Works, worked out the project to the millimeter.

The form structure weighed approximately 70T and needed to be specifically maneuvered within the confines of the tunnel. ECR had to transport the 200T Jacking system into the tun-nel using a 25T Franna and have the jacks exactly positioned to meet up with the lifting points on the form structure. Utilising one supervisor and two experienced riggers, ECR completed there portion of the job within a working day.
