October 2011 - 145T Pontoon for LNG work In Gladstone.
ECR Groups Heavy Haul Division were entrusted with the loading and the delivery of this 140T Pontoon destined for LNG work in Gladstone. Our in-house engineering department, with the latest up to date software packages,we successfully planned this delivery which had to travel from Rockhampton to its destination in Gladstone. We believe this is one of the largest loads to have travelled this route on a platform trailer.
The pontoon was 40 meters long, 8.5 meters wide and weighed 145T. With The ECR Groups additional two Heavy Haul trucks to pull this load, the over-all length came to a staggering 67 meters in length. Now, understandably, a considerable amount of planning had gone into this delivery, requiring pilots and police assistance. On delivery of the PontoonThe ECR Group also utilised our 150T Sumi-tomo Crawler Crane, along with an additional crane, to assist lift and unload.
ECR Groups advantage of having the right equipment and highly trained staff make us one of the very few companies within the Bowen Basin, Queensland for that matter, who can undertake these types of major pro-jects right from the first enquiry through to completion of your job. If you have a large project, or something a little out of the ordinary you don’t know how you are going to move, please just give us a call.
